A city bus depot outgrowing its rented yard. We engineered structure, site and approvals as one package so buses, workshops and offices arrived together.
The challenge
Harbor ran 60 buses from a yard designed for 20. Parking overlapped the workshop, stormwater crossed the fuel bay, and the rented site’s permissions expired within the year.
They needed a full foundation — depot building, workshop shed, parking, drainage and approval drawings — strict enough to clear the authority, practical enough for drivers to use daily.

Bus swept paths set the parking geometry first; the workshop and office blocks were then framed in steel and RCC to suit long clear spans. Drainage was kept out of fuel zones, and one drawing index tied structure, site and services so the authority reviewed a single coordinated set.

Three fleets now operate from the depot with zero circulation conflicts. Inspectors cleared the set without major queries, and the depot manual runs daily operations.
